What is CVE-1999-0808?

The ISC DHCP Distribution server, specifically versions 1.0 and 2.0, is susceptible to multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities can allow remote attackers to disrupt server operations through denial of service (DoS) attacks. Moreover, there is a risk that an attacker may execute arbitrary commands on the affected system using specially crafted long option inputs.
