What is CVE-1999-0897?

The iChat ROOMS Webserver contains a vulnerability that permits remote attackers to exploit a directory traversal flaw. By manipulating file paths with a 'dot dot' (..) attack, an unauthorized user can gain access to arbitrary files on the server. This poses a significant risk as sensitive data may be exposed, allowing attackers to compromise system integrity and confidentiality.
