Mail Client Vulnerability in Eudora and Eudora Light by Qualcom
CVE-1999-1448
Currently unrated
Summary
Eudora and Eudora Light versions prior to 3.05 exhibit a vulnerability that allows remote attackers to crash the application and potentially corrupt user mailboxes. This occurs when an email containing dates that are either pre-1970 or excessively future dates (beyond 100 years from the current date) is received. Such date inputs trigger a Divide By Zero error or a segmentation fault, leading to application instability and loss of mailbox data.
