What is CVE-2000-0138?

The vulnerability enables a system to be compromised by various distributed denial of service attack tools, such as Trinoo, TFN, TFN2K, stacheldraht, mstream, or shaft. These tools can facilitate large-scale DDoS attacks, overwhelming target systems with traffic and causing service interruptions. Attackers can deploy these master-agent architectures to control multiple compromised machines ('zombies'), significantly increasing their attack potential.
