What is CVE-2001-0299?
The Voyager web administration server used in the Nokia IP440 device is susceptible to a buffer overflow vulnerability that can be exploited by local users. By sending a disproportionately long URL to the server, attackers can disrupt service operations, leading to denial of service. This flaw also opens a potential gateway for attackers to execute arbitrary commands on the system, thereby compromising the integrity and confidentiality of the device’s operations.
