Summary

Reliant Unix versions 5.44 and earlier are prone to a denial of service condition that can be exploited by remote attackers. By sending an ICMP port unreachable packet, attackers can cause the affected system to drop all network connections originating from the sender's IP address. This vulnerability can severely disrupt legitimate network communications, impacting service availability and causing operational disruptions.
