What is CVE-2001-1046?

A buffer overflow in Qpopper versions 4.0 through 4.0.2 can be exploited by remote attackers to escalate privileges. This occurs as a result of insufficient validation of user input, particularly when a long username is processed, enabling unauthorized access to the system.
