What is CVE-2001-1064?
Cisco 600 series routers running CBOS versions 2.0.1 through 2.4.2ap are susceptible to a denial of service attack. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by initiating multiple connections to the router's HTTP or telnet services. This can overwhelm the router, causing it to become unresponsive and interrupting its ability to forward network packets. As a result, legitimate users may experience loss of connectivity and disrupted network operations, compromising the overall performance of affected systems.
