What is CVE-2001-1339?

The telnet service of Beck IPC GmbH's IPC@CHIP product is vulnerable due to inadequate handling of incorrect password attempts. When users enter incorrect passwords, the service neither delays nor disconnects the session, making it susceptible to brute force password guessing attacks by remote attackers. This flaw significantly increases the risk of unauthorized access, as attackers can easily automate numerous password attempts without facing disconnection or delays.
