What is CVE-2001-1419?

AOL Instant Messenger versions up to 4.7.2480 are susceptible to a denial of service attack, where remote attackers can exploit a flaw by sending specially crafted instant messages that contain excessive HTML comment tags ('<!--'). This can lead to the application crashing, causing disruptions for users who are using the service. The vulnerability poses a risk to the integrity and availability of the messaging platform.
