What is CVE-2001-1500?

ProFTPD versions prior to certain updates have a vulnerability due to improper validation of reverse-resolved hostnames. This issue could allow remote attackers to bypass access control lists (ACLs), leading to unauthorized access or manipulation. In addition, the failure to perform forward resolution can result in incorrect logging of client hostnames, complicating security audits and incident response.
