Apple Personal Web Sharing versions 1.1, 1.5, and 1.5.5 have a vulnerability that permits remote attackers to initiate a denial of service condition when Web Sharing authentication is enabled. This is achieved by exploiting a buffer overflow through the submission of excessively long passwords, potentially disrupting the service and causing significant downtime.
