What is CVE-2002-0177?

Icecast versions 1.3.11 and earlier are susceptible to a buffer overflow vulnerability that can be exploited by remote attackers. By sending a specially crafted long HTTP GET request from an MP3 client, an attacker may execute arbitrary code on the server. This highlights the critical importance of monitoring and applying security patches to prevent unauthorized access and control of the streaming server.
