What is CVE-2002-0700?

A buffer overflow vulnerability exists within the user authentication process of Microsoft Content Management Server 2001. This flaw can be exploited by attackers who authenticate to a web interface that invokes the vulnerable function, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution in the context of the Local System account. If successfully exploited, this may lead to unauthorized access and compromise of SQL Server resources.
