What is CVE-2002-0780?

The IP/IPX gateway for Novell BorderManager 3.6 SP 1a is susceptible to a denial of service attack. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending a large volume of random data to port 8225, leading to the abend (abnormal end) of the ipipxgw.nlm module, interrupting service and potentially rendering the device inoperable.
