What is CVE-2002-0781?

The RTSP proxy in Novell BorderManager 3.6 SP 1a is susceptible to a denial of service attack. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted GET request to port 9090, followed by multiple carriage returns. This unnecessary input can cause the proxy.nlm module to crash, resulting in service interruption and potential downtime for impacted systems.
