What is CVE-2002-0785?

AOL Instant Messenger is susceptible to a denial of service that allows remote adversaries to crash the app by exploiting the 'AddBuddy' functionality. When an attacker provides an excessively long ScreenName parameter with numerous comma-separated values, it may lead to a buffer overflow, resulting in a crash of the vulnerable application.
