What is CVE-2002-1071?
The ZyXEL Prestige 642R is susceptible to a denial of service attack that can be triggered by sending a specially crafted TCP packet with both SYN and ACK flags set. This vulnerability affects the functionality of the Telnet, FTP, and DHCP services, potentially leading to a crash of these services. An attacker exploiting this vulnerability can disrupt normal operations by sending these packets, making the affected services unavailable to legitimate users.
