What is CVE-2002-1104?

Cisco VPN Client software versions 2.x.x and earlier than 3.0.5 are susceptible to an exploit that enables remote attackers to induce a denial of service condition. This is achieved by sending specially crafted TCP packets utilizing source and destination ports set to 137 (NETBIOS). As a result, the software may crash, interrupting service and potentially affecting users relying on secure VPN connections.
