What is CVE-2002-1283?

A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Novell iManager (eMFrame) versions prior to 1.5. By sending an authentication request containing an excessively long Distinguished Name (DN) attribute, an attacker can exploit this flaw to induce a denial of service condition. This vulnerability could permit remote attackers to disrupt the service uninterrupted by legitimate users, emphasizing the importance of updating to secure versions.
