What is CVE-2002-1319?

The vulnerability in the Linux kernel versions 2.4.20 and earlier, as well as 2.5.x running on x86 systems, enables local users to cause a denial of service. This occurs when the kernel's emulation mode fails to properly clear the TF and NT EFLAG registers, leading to system hangs and unresponsiveness. Due to this flaw, an attacker with local access can exploit the weakness to disrupt system operations and access.
