What is CVE-2002-1426?
The HP ProCurve Switch 4000M C.07.23 is susceptible to a remote denial of service attack. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted SNMP write request containing 85 characters, which may lead to a buffer overflow condition. This results in the switch crashing, disrupting services and potentially impacting network availability.
