What is CVE-2002-1692?
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the backup utility of Microsoft Windows 95. This flaw permits attackers to execute arbitrary code by exploiting a specially crafted filename with an excessively long extension. When such a filename is placed in a folder designated for backup, it can lead to unauthorized actions being performed on the affected system.
