What is CVE-2002-1797?

The ChaiVM component used in HP LaserJet models, including the Color LaserJet 4500, 4550, and standard LaserJet 4100, 8150, suffers from a serious access control vulnerability. This flaw allows local users to manipulate services hosted by ChaiServer without proper authentication, which could lead to unauthorized additions, deletions, or modifications of these services.
