Summary
ISC dhcrelay versions up to and including 3.0rc9 are vulnerable to a denial of service attack caused by improperly handling certain BOOTP packets. When such packets are forwarded to a broadcast MAC address, they can create an infinite loop. This results in a packet storm that can disrupt DHCP infrastructure and hinder network performance, leaving systems prone to outages and other related issues.
