What is CVE-2003-1001?
The Cisco Firewall Services Module (FWSM) on Catalyst 6500 and 7600 series devices is vulnerable to a buffer overflow that can be exploited by remote attackers. By sending specially crafted HTTP authentication requests for TACACS+ or RADIUS, attackers can trigger a denial of service condition, causing the affected devices to crash and subsequently reload.
