What is CVE-2003-1013?

The Q.931 dissector in Ethereal and Tethereal allows remote attackers to crash the application via a specially crafted Q.931 packet. This vulnerability is triggered by a null dereference, leading to a denial of service condition that can disrupt network analysis activities.
