Summary

The FTP server component in Novell NetWare versions 6.0 prior to Service Pack 4 and 6.5 prior to Service Pack 1 is susceptible to a denial of service attack. Remote attackers who are assisted by users can exploit this vulnerability by opening a large number of FTP sessions. These sessions are not adequately managed during the unloading of the NLM, which can lead to a console hang, adversely impacting server availability.
