What is CVE-2004-0507?

A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the MMSE dissector component of Ethereal versions 0.10.1 to 0.10.3. This flaw can be exploited by remote attackers to induce a denial of service condition or potentially execute arbitrary code on the affected system. By crafting specially designed packets, an attacker could compromise system integrity, leading to unauthorized access and data breaches.
