What is CVE-2004-1139?

A vulnerability exists in the DICOM dissector within Ethereal versions 0.10.4 to 0.10.7 that can be exploited by remote attackers to cause the application to crash, leading to a denial of service. This issue may be triggered by specially crafted DICOM packets, which can result in unexpected termination of the application, affecting network analysis capabilities.
