What is CVE-2004-2420?
The Hitachi Job Management Partner (JP1) FTP server versions 6 and 7 are susceptible to a denial of service condition triggered by a remote attacker. This vulnerability can be exploited through the use of specially crafted reset packets during a port scan, causing the FTP daemon to halt unexpectedly. This disruption can lead to significant service interruptions for users reliant on the FTP services provided by the affected versions.
