What is CVE-2005-1717?

The ZyXEL Prestige 650R-31 router, when running ZyNOS firmware version 3.40(KO.1), is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. Remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending specially crafted fragmented IP packets to the device. This can result in excessive CPU consumption and network loss, potentially affecting the availability of the router for legitimate users.
