What is CVE-2005-2051?

The VERITAS Backup Exec Web Administration Console (BEWAC) versions 9.0 4367 and 10.0 rev. 5484 contain a buffer overflow vulnerability that could be exploited by remote attackers. By sending specially crafted requests, an attacker could potentially execute arbitrary code on the affected system, leading to unauthorized actions and a compromise of the system's integrity.
