What is CVE-2005-2223?

An unidentified vulnerability exists in the SMTP service of MailEnable Standard versions prior to 1.9 and Professional versions prior to 1.6, allowing remote attackers to trigger a denial of service by causing the service to crash during the authentication process. This potentially exposes the system to attacks that exploit this failure, affecting the availability of mail services.
