What is CVE-2005-3227?

Multiple interpretation errors in certain versions of UNA Antivirus enable remote attackers to circumvent virus detection mechanisms. This flaw is exploited through specially crafted RAR files containing malformed central and local headers. While these files can be opened by utilities such as WinRAR and PowerZip, UNA Antivirus fails to detect the malicious content, erroneously classifying them as safe, despite being rejected by other tools like WinZip and BitZipper. This oversight presents significant risks for users relying on UNA Antivirus for protection against malware.
