What is CVE-2006-1940?

Ethereal versions from 0.10.4 to 0.10.14 are susceptible to a vulnerability in the SNDCP dissector, which may be exploited by remote attackers to trigger a denial of service condition. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause the application to abort unexpectedly, disrupting the service provided by Ethereal and posing risks to network analysis operations.
