What is CVE-2006-2087?

The Gmax Mail client in Hitachi Groupmax, prior to version 20060426, contains a vulnerability that allows remote attackers to trigger a denial of service condition. This can occur when an attacker sends an attachment with an MS-DOS device filename, potentially causing the application to hang or behave erroneously. As a result, users may experience disruptions in service, impacting operational efficiency.
