What is CVE-2006-3669?

Mercury Messenger, particularly version 1.7.1.1 and possibly other releases, contains a vulnerability when executed on multi-user Mac OS X systems. The application improperly stores chat logs with permissions that allow any local user to read these files within the /Users directory. This misconfiguration leads to potential privacy breaches, as sensitive conversation data can be accessed without authorization by other users on the same machine.
