What is CVE-2006-5196?

The HTTP interface of the Motorola SURFboard SB4200 Cable Modem is susceptible to a denial of service attack, which can be triggered by a specially crafted request containing the MfcISAPICommand set to SecretProc along with an excessively long string in the Secret parameter. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to crash the device, rendering it non-functional and disrupts internet connectivity for users.
