What is CVE-2006-5861?

The IMA service (ImaSrv.exe) in Citrix MetaFrame XP and Presentation Server allows remote attackers to execute a denial of service attack. By sending specially crafted packets that prompt the service to access an unmapped memory address, attackers can trigger unhandled exceptions, leading to unexpected service exits. This vulnerability poses significant risk as it can render affected services unavailable, compromising the accessibility of resources for users.
