What is CVE-2006-5867?

Fetchmail versions before 6.3.6-rc4 have a vulnerability that fails to enforce TLS, potentially allowing cleartext passwords to be sent over unsecured connections. This exposes users to the risk of man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks, enabling attackers to intercept sensitive information.
