What is CVE-2006-5916?

Intego VirusBarrier X4 is susceptible to a vulnerability that allows attackers to bypass the virus detection mechanisms. By rapidly injecting a multitude of infected files into the filesystem, these attackers can overwhelm the system, causing VirusBarrier to fail in processing all files correctly. This results in a security gap that can be exploited for the distribution of malware and other malicious activities, as the software is unable to effectively scan or manage the numerous files introduced, ultimately compromising system integrity and security.
