What is CVE-2006-5974?

A vulnerability exists in Fetchmail versions 6.3.5 and 6.3.6 where, when a message is rejected via the MDA option, it may lead to a denial of service situation. This is triggered by remote attackers causing a crash through a NULL pointer dereference when the system calls the ferror or fflush functions.
