What is CVE-2006-6290?

The IMAP module in MailEnable Professional and Enterprise versions has multiple stack-based buffer overflows. These vulnerabilities arise when remote authenticated users send excessively long arguments to the EXAMINE or SELECT commands. Exploitation of these vulnerabilities can lead to a denial of service by crashing the service or potentially allow for arbitrary code execution, jeopardizing the security and integrity of the affected system.
