What is CVE-2007-0790?
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in SmartFTP 2.0.1002, allowing remote FTP servers to execute arbitrary code. This exploitation occurs when the application processes excessively large banner messages. Attackers could leverage this flaw to gain unauthorized access and control over affected systems, posing a significant security risk for users of this FTP client.
