What is CVE-2007-1672?

A vulnerability in Avast! Antivirus prior to version 4.7.981 permits remote attackers to trigger a denial of service condition. This can occur through specially crafted ZOO archive files that contain a directory entry structure referencing a previously encountered file. Exploiting this vulnerability can cause the antivirus software to enter an infinite loop, rendering it ineffective and disrupting normal operations.
