What is CVE-2007-3527?

An integer overflow in Firebird Database version 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to exploit certain database operations utilizing multi-byte character sets. This flaw can lead to a denial of service as it prompts an attempt to process the value 65536 as a 16-bit integer. The result is treated as 0, inducing an infinite loop when zero-length data is encountered, thus consuming CPU resources and impacting service availability.
