Summary

The NETGEAR ReadyNAS RAIDiator before version 4.00b2-p2-T1 beta comes with a default SSH root password that is generated from the device's hardware serial number. This practice poses a significant security risk, as it allows potential remote attackers to easily guess the password, resulting in unauthorized access to the device.
