Summary

The Cisco Content Switching Module (CSM) versions prior to 4.2.3a and the Cisco Content Switching Module with SSL (CSM-S) versions prior to 2.1.2a are susceptible to a denial of service vulnerability. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by sending sets of out-of-order TCP packets, which may lead to excessive CPU consumption or cause the affected devices to reboot unexpectedly. This could disrupt services and lead to significant downtime, affecting overall network performance and reliability.
