What is CVE-2007-5017?

An absolute path traversal vulnerability exists in an ActiveX control within the CYFT object in ft60.dll of Yahoo! Messenger 8.1.0.421. This flaw enables remote attackers to manipulate file system operations by exploiting the GetFile method's second argument, allowing the download, creation, or overwriting of arbitrary files based on a malicious full pathname.
